Day dreaming on what the future holds

Do you ever day dream about the future? Where you want to be in one month, a year, five years or ten years time? Or about any accomplishments you want to achieve?

Its so exciting to think about what the future holds, where you'll end up living, what countries you'll visit, whether you'll end up getting married, having kids, what your career has in store.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about the future recently, trying to plan ahead and working out what I want, not surprisingly I came up with a bit of a list:

One of my main dreams is to travel more. I've not seen that much of the world and at 27, that's something I really want to change. I really want to see more of Europe, especially Spain and Italy and I'd love to go to Japan and Bali, not to mention the parts of America that I've not seen such as San Fran and Miami.

I really want Dan and I to be able to get our own place too. We've been looking for ages but nothing quite right has come along yet. There is this great little place for sale across the way from us at the moment that I love but it's a bit out of our price range. Who wouldn't want a purple house hey?

With career stuff it's always the same dream for me, I just want to be good at what I do and keep learning; whatever it is that I'm doing. I'm lucky to be in the industry that I wanted to be in and work hard to constantly grow my skill set, but you can always do more. Learning is one of my favourite things to do and as long as I'm doing that, I know I'm moving in the right direction. Sometimes there are new hurdles to overcome and obstacles that get in your way, but ultimately it's about having the confidence to believe in yourself and not be afraid to try new things.

Of course I dream about having the perfect body too - who doesn't, but to be honest I know that my body is strong and healthy at the moment and that's really important to me. What I dream about for my body is to learn and understand how to best fuel it, to learn what the best foods are for when I do / don't work out and just to take better care of what I put in it. Your health isn't something you should ever take for granted and I think it can often be an after thought, but it should be a priority.

My other main dream is to continue reducing my debt. I don't have masses, but enough that I end up paying off a couple of hundred pounds a month from frivolous over spending when I first got a credit card. I just really look forward to the day when I am finally free of my credit card debt, or the majority of it anyhow. It didn't take me long to build it up, but it's definitely taking me a long time to pay off - a lesson learnt the hard way!

What do you guys dream about? Do you have any things that you'd like to achieve within the next few years? I'd love to know.
