Better than Charlie's chocolate shop

If Charlie ever got bored of the chocolate factory and wanted to visit a good chocolate shop instead, he should have tried this hidden gem just off Brick Lane.

Dark Sugars houses some of the most decadent chocolates I've had in a while. It was truffles, truffles and more truffles in every possible variety; from dark cocoa or white chocolate, to alcoholic, full chocolate, caramel and fruity chocs.

I was literally a kid in the candy store and my eyes widened as soon as I walked in and smelt the rich cocoa.

We got a variety of options (for research purposes obviously), champagne truffles, gin and lime, vodka orange, lemon tea and salted caramel. We tried them all and though they were all delicious, some stood out from the crowd. The lemon tea infused dark chocolate was amazing with the perfect amount of zing and flavour.

The champagne truffle also went down a treat. When you bit into the truffle the champagne glided out lavishly and it tasted absolutely divine.

Needless to say it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. It's not the cheapest, but its worth it if you have a chocolate itch that you just can't scratch.
